La Jyho Terrace, the lounge located inside the "All Day Dining La Jyho" at Kyoto Century Hotel, is introducing a new weekday-only afternoon tea special called "Ripe Temptation: Summer Fruit Tart Collection." Running from Monday, June 15 to Thursday, August 27, 2026, the event is available Monday through Thursday only.
The lineup features a different seasonal fruit tart each month — melon in June, whole peach in July, and mango in August — each made with fully ripened fruit at its peak of sweetness. Guests can enjoy their tart alongside unlimited hot or iced coffee and tea for up to 120 minutes. With the lounge open until 10:00 PM, it also works well as a late-evening dessert stop after dinner.
Monthly Tart Lineup
June: Melon Tart
A crisp, golden tart shell is generously topped with both fragrant muskmelon and rich red-flesh melon, with a layer of custard cream nestled inside. Every bite delivers a burst of juicy melon flavor alongside vanilla-scented custard cream.
July: Whole Peach Tart
A whole fresh peach takes center stage in this tart. The almond-flavored tart base is piped with fresh cream, and the peach itself is filled with custard cream. The fragrance of the peach and the two creams create a harmonious blend in every mouthful.
August: Mango Tart
Ripe mango slices are arranged beautifully over a bed of custard cream. Red currants add a touch of tartness, while edible flowers lend a tropical, bouquet-like appearance to the finished tart.
