Starting August 19 (Wednesday), CIBONE in Omotesando will host a pop-up event for GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE.
Launched in 2018, GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE is a brand that explores "good things" and proposes products born from experimental thinking. Members from different specialties come together, combining their individual ideas and skills to continue making things that focus on the relationship between objects and the people who use them.
The event will feature "Material in Progress," a research project created together with design studio DAIKEI MILLS, centered on developing new materials through dialogue.
Visitors won't just get to handle the products—they'll also have the chance to experience the brand's approach to making things and the new relationships it explores between people and materials.
Material in Progress

What makes a material appealing?
Beyond how something looks or feels, materials can also take shape through the unplanned accumulation of actions and time.
"Material in Progress" is a project that aims to bring out the appeal of new materials through the relationship between people and objects.
Visitors can take part in the process of creating new materials on-site. The materials made here will be kept and reflected in future product development.
