Land Bageri, the bakery that opened in August on the first floor of the store building at Meiji Park in front of Hakata Station, is starting a casual evening bread bistro service from Friday, September 4, where guests can enjoy the bakery's bread alongside cooked dishes and wine. The shop is produced by LANDIC Holdings Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and Group CEO: Tomoyuki Nakayama).
The space, shaped by natural materials such as soil and stone, evokes the earliest days of communal life spent gathered around a fire. In the evening, that same warm setting becomes a bread bistro guests can drop into casually — bread scented with wheat drawn from the earth, paired with bistro dishes, and a glass of wine to color an everyday evening.
Bakery by Day, Bread Bistro by Night: Another Side of Land Bageri

The bread bistro serves dishes and wine meant to be enjoyed alongside Land Bageri's bread. Beyond simply tasting freshly baked bread on its own, the menu suggests other ways to enjoy it — paired with food, or matched with wine — the kind of variety only a bakery can offer. It works just as well for a proper meal on nights when you want one, or for a casual glass of wine and some bread.
Guests can spend the evening however suits their mood, in a casual bread bistro atmosphere.

Wheat Is a Gift From the Earth, Craft Is the Accumulation of Daily Life: Enjoy the Earth's Memory Alongside Delicious Bread
Sheltering from wind and rain, huddling together in a cave, gathering around a fire —
daily life is said to have begun with such small, simple acts.
Even before civilization or farming,
it's said that humankind was already baking bread.
Wheat given by the earth: crushed, mixed, kneaded, baked.
Handwork passed down to the present day.
Each step is part of the accumulation of daily life.
Wrapped in the aroma of freshly baked bread,
you may find yourself, for a moment, connected to humanity's distant memory.
Please enjoy that time and space, together with delicious bread.
