Lisa Larson (1931−2024)

Born in 1931 in southern Sweden. After studying at the University of Gothenburg School of Design and Crafts, she joined Gustavsberg at the invitation of Stig Lindberg, the company's art director. In 1952, she married painter Gunnar Larson. She became freelance in 1980 and worked with numerous clients. In 1992, she established Keramikstudion. Known as the creator of Mikey, Japan's most famous Nordic cat character. In 2022, she received a government honor for her outstanding work in innovating and enriching Swedish art and crafts over many years. She continued her creative activities until her passing at age 92 in 2024.
