Starting March 1, 2026, Seaside Hotel Maiko Villa Kobe in Tarumi Ward, Kobe will introduce a lineup of spring seasonal offerings: the "Berry & Berry Afternoon Tea," a limited-edition Kiyomi orange shortcake, a Hinamatsuri strawberry roll cake, and a new series of artisan breads made with natural yeast. All items are crafted by the hotel's in-house pastry chefs and bakers, with views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge adding to the atmosphere.

Berry & Berry Afternoon Tea

The 14th-floor Dining & Bar "Key West" in the main building will offer a luxurious afternoon tea showcasing a variety of berries. The menu includes a "Berry Pan de Gênes" and a "Strawberry and Camembert Cheesecake" infused with the aroma of locally produced Kobe red wine, among other colorful confections.

Seasonal Limited: Kiyomi Orange & Awa Wasanbon Shortcake

A shortcake featuring the "Kiyomi orange" is available throughout March. The sponge is made with Awa Wasanbon sugar—prized for its clean, delicate sweetness—complementing the bright citrus acidity of the orange with a finely textured finish.

Hinamatsuri Strawberry Roll

A moist roll cake is decorated in the traditional hishi mochi colors—strawberry pink, Hokkaido cream white, and uji matcha green—to mark Hinamatsuri (Dolls' Festival). The roll is filled with whole strawberries and topped with strawberries arranged to resemble peach blossoms. The combination of matcha fragrance, sweet-and-sour strawberry, and rich cream makes it a treat available only during this season.
