Starting September 1, 2026, Mampei Hotel in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture (General Manager: Ichiro Sasaki) is inviting guests into a Halloween world of ghosts and black cats with two new treats: the "Mampei Hotel Halloween Cookie Tin" and the "Walnut Bitter Caramel Sandwich" in a Halloween-limited package.

The tin is designed around the registered Tangible Cultural Property "Alps Wing," rendered in an eerie, Halloween-tinged mood. Lift the lid and find an Alps Wing sablé reshaped like a witch's mansion at the center, surrounded by icing cookies of ghosts and black cats, pumpkin-scented Jack O'Lantern cookies, and other colorful, autumn-flavored treats — 11 varieties in all.
