Starting June 1, 2026, the "Lemon Butter Cream Sandwich" is available at Mampei Hotel in Karuizawa. It marks the second installment in the hotel's "Stories of Mampei Hotel Cookie Sandwich Series," following the "Cassis & Blueberry Sandwich" released in February 2026.
The cookie sandwich features a rich filling made from white chocolate and butter with lemon peel blended in, nestled between crispy cookie layers. Each bite delivers a milky sweetness that gradually gives way to a refreshing citrus acidity and aroma.
The packaging depicts a summer highland tea scene with a charming rabbit illustration. The sides of the box are decorated with motifs tied to Mampei Hotel's long history — including the entrance signboard displayed since the hotel's founding, a chair used during the Taisho era, and items from the café terrace menu.
