The Custard Cream Croissant, which had been exclusively available at Mikadukiya's Hakata Station store, is expanding to two Kitakyushu locations. Starting April 6, 2026, the popular pastry will be sold in limited quantities at the Kokura Station and Wakamatsu stores.
Hakata's Signature Croissant
The croissant is filled with homemade custard cream made from eggs sourced from chickens raised on spring water from the foothills of Mount Unzen in Nagasaki Prefecture, combined with generous amounts of fresh cream, all tucked inside a flaky, crisp croissant shell. The lightly sweetened yet rich cream pairs beautifully with the buttery pastry.
