Gothic Lolita fashion brand Moi-même-Moitié has announced the eighth installment of its online salon art series "Moitié-Style Aestheticism World" (モワティエ的 耽美な世界), featuring Harajuku creator Shinako as the guest. The new content goes live on June 12 (Friday) at 3:00 PM on the brand's online salon "Mana's Blue Rose Mansion."
Moi-même-Moitié is produced by Mana of visual kei group MALICE MIZER, and is operated by Tanakuro Co., Ltd.
"Moitié-Style Aestheticism World" Art Series
The "Moitié-Style Aestheticism World" is an ongoing art project in which Mana, as producer of Moi-même-Moitié, reinterprets various personalities and objects through the aesthetic philosophy of "aestheticism" (耽美), elevating them into entirely new visual worlds. Produced in collaboration with photographer Ayano Sudo, previous guests have included Bed In, Sharaku (Metronome), Hamako Yamasaki (Urbangarde), Hina Takane, Tosui (Phantom Seater), Yukkun & Kimijima Ozora, and talent Chiaki — each bringing their unique individuality to life through Moitié-style aestheticism.
Episode 8: Shinako
The eighth guest, Shinako, is a creator who has long been at the forefront of Harajuku culture, captivating fans with her distinctive "KAWAII" worldview and commanding presence. Active across ASMR, sweets, fashion, and music, her colorful and uniquely expressive style has drawn strong support both domestically and internationally.
At first glance, Shinako's pop, colorful world and Mana's gothic aestheticism may appear to be polar opposites. Yet Harajuku itself has long been a neighborhood that nurtured visual kei culture and embraced diverse forms of fashion and self-expression. Underlying both is a shared aesthetic conviction — the idea of staying true to oneself.
Under Mana's direction, with Moi-même-Moitié garments and the elegant gothic worldview as the medium, a new vision of Shinako quietly bridges different eras and sensibilities of Harajuku culture — giving rise to a new "Moitié-style aestheticism."
"KAWAII" and "aestheticism" — seemingly different, yet both born from an intense form of self-expression. The special visual world that emerges from their intersection is available exclusively through this project.
