The Shikata Hiroo-Higashi Cosmos Festival (しかた広尾東コスモスまつり), organized by the Hiroo-Higashi Branch of the Shikata-Higashi farming cooperative ((農)志方東営農組合・広尾東支店), will be held in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, on four days: Saturday, October 17, Sunday, October 18, Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026.
The terraced fields at the venue are known for their wide expanses of pink cosmos and yellow sunflowers, and the festival has become a familiar seasonal tradition of autumn in Kakogawa.
Along with viewing the flowers of the season, visitors can browse a sale of farm products, including locally grown rice, fresh vegetables, and processed goods. A sweet potato harvest experience is also offered, so visitors can enjoy the flavors of autumn alongside the scenery.
