Since its founding in 1926, Tudor has stood alongside challengers around the world. The Swiss watchmaker's touring sumo-themed pop-up store continues to expand across Japan, this time landing at two venues in Osaka: "Shinsaibashi Basho" at Shinsaibashi PARCO from August 28 to September 6, followed by "Osaka Takashimaya Basho" at Osaka Takashimaya from September 9 to September 15.
The pop-up marks a partnership between Tudor and the Japan Sumo Association, signed in May 2026, giving shape to the two organizations' growing connection. Sumo's world of tradition and spirituality, sustained through relentless training, resonates deeply with the passion for watchmaking that Tudor has cultivated and with the brand's philosophy, "Born To Dare."
The venue design draws on sumo's formal, dignified atmosphere while layering in a contemporary aesthetic. Newly shot portraits of four top-division (makuuchi) wrestlers — Kirishima, Kotoshoho, Wakatakakage, and Takanosho — boldly fill the space, capturing the powerful presence of wrestlers who forge their own paths in the ring each day, in step with the "Born To Dare" spirit.
The pop-up brings together new releases that drew attention at Watches and Wonders 2026 alongside Tudor's iconic staple models, giving visitors the chance to explore the collection across both Osaka venues.
