Meieki Parklet, an urban plaza that opened in August 2025, will host "Yoru Inu Matsuri @ Meieki Parklet," a casual evening pet event where visitors can drop by with their dog, on Friday, September 4. According to a survey by ONES Co., Ltd., it is the first outdoor event of its kind near Meieki Station.
The event will feature numerous pet food and related goods shops, and admission is free for anyone who loves dogs, whether they're bringing one along or simply stopping by after work.
The event also serves as a pilot study testing demand for pet-friendly spaces in front of the station and the potential for pets to draw people to explore and linger in the city center around Meieki, part of a broader effort to explore what a comfortable urban space for people and pets together could look like.
