Early Summer Exhibition: "Wisteria and Hydrangea – Early Summer Goldfish 2026"

In May, ART AQUARIUM MUSEUM GINZA is transformed by a special seasonal exhibition. The interior takes on shades of blue and purple inspired by wisteria and hydrangea — flowers that symbolize early summer in Japan — surrounding the goldfish tank installations with this distinctive seasonal palette.
As an indoor exhibition, it provides a great escape during the rainy season, letting visitors enjoy both the seasonal scenery and the calming presence of goldfish art regardless of the weather outside.
ART AQUARIUM MUSEUM GINZA Celebrates Its 4th Anniversary on May 3
The museum marks its 4th anniversary on May 3. The first 1,000 visitors on that day will receive an original sticker as a commemorative gift.

ART AQUARIUM is an immersive art experience featuring goldfish-filled tanks accompanied by light, fragrance, and sound. The concept brings goldfish appreciation — a tradition dating back to the Edo period — to life as a contemporary art form. The museum currently showcases around 70 varieties and 3,000 goldfish across its installations. Since its debut in 2007, the format has attracted a cumulative 13 million visitors (as of October 2025). The permanent museum at Ginza Mitsukoshi opened in May 2022 and refreshes its exhibits seasonally each year.
Notable works on display include "Goldfish Rock Garden," a collaboration with world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma; "Hanabuki," produced by ikebana artist Shogo Kariyazaki; and "Goldfish Sandō," inspired by a thousand torii gates.
