Looking for That "Special" Feel for an Anniversary Dinner or Date Night?
A private-room yakiniku restaurant called Ushito opened quietly in the back streets of Nishi-Azabu at the end of March. Offering curated Wagyu courses and full-attend service in a calm, completely private setting, it is gaining a reputation as an ideal hidden-gem spot for date nights and special occasions.
Ushito has recently introduced a service designed to make an evening with someone important even more memorable.
Complete Privacy Creates a World for Two
The most distinctive feature of Ushito is that every seat is in a completely private room. The restaurant has only three rooms, all fully enclosed, allowing guests to have important conversations without distraction and to arrange surprises without anyone else noticing.
An Aesthetically Crafted Course Experience

At Ushito, the experience extends beyond the quality of the beef itself. The course features carefully selected Kyoto Wagyu, and the way each dish is brought to the table — along with the overall flow of the service — is intentionally designed as part of the dining experience.
Relaxed Dining with Full-Attend Service
At Ushito, staff take care of the grilling from start to finish, explaining how to cook each cut and watching for the optimal doneness. Guests can enjoy their meal without the stress of tending the grill themselves, which allows them to focus on conversation with their companion. The smokeless roasters also mean that clothing and hair remain free from smoke odors.
"Karesansui" Dessert Plate with a Personalized Message

The course concludes with a dessert plate inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi," presented as a miniature karesansui (dry landscape garden). A message engraving service has recently been added to this finale: a name or personal message can be inscribed on the macarons decorating the plate as a surprise.

Guests can enjoy this personalized touch within the completely private setting of the Nishi-Azabu restaurant.
