NRT BEER FLIGHT CAFE to Open at Narita Airport Terminal 2

NRT BEER FLIGHT CAFE, a craft beer café developed in partnership with breweries primarily from Chiba Prefecture, is set to open at the Terminal 2 connecting corridor 2F (post-security area) of Narita Airport on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Narita Airport's Vision for Regional Collaboration

The NAA Group has long worked to reduce the airport's negative impact on the surrounding area, including noise mitigation efforts — an effort to turn a negative into zero. Going forward, the group is taking that commitment further by creating new value for the region through its business activities, a shift described as moving from "zero to positive."

As part of this evolution, the NAA Group is developing what it calls "regional business" — a sustainable model that balances commercial viability with community contribution, built through collaboration with a diverse range of local stakeholders. At the heart of this initiative is "Narita Airport Ale," an original craft beer created exclusively for Narita Airport.

A New Chapter in Regional Business Development

NRT BEER FLIGHT CAFE will be the first permanent venue to serve "Narita Airport Ale" on draft. The beer has earned recognition at domestic and international competitions, most recently winning the Grand Prix — the highest honor — at the Japan Food Selection. The café will carry approximately 20 types of craft beer, one of the largest craft beer selections at any airport in Japan, giving visitors a chance to explore breweries from Chiba Prefecture and beyond without leaving the terminal.

The café is envisioned as a hub for sharing Japanese craft beer culture and regional character, helping transform Narita Airport from a transit point into a place where local communities and travelers can come together to create new value.

What is a Beer Flight?

A "Beer Flight" — the style featured in the café's name — involves sampling small pours of different craft beers side by side. Well established in the craft beer world, it lets guests compare the flavors and aromas of multiple varieties at once.

The trays used for Beer Flights at this café are crafted from timber generated during tree-clearing work related to Narita Airport's expansion project.
