A Wish for Visitors to Take Home a Little More of What Makes Akita Special

Omagari Hanabi is a competition to determine Japan's top fireworks artisans, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. However, due to a shortage of accommodation and other factors, many visitors are unable to explore the surrounding area before or after watching the fireworks.

This project was launched by a group of members who share a wish for visitors to feel a little more of what makes Akita special before they head home.

Ingredients and seasonal delicacies that can only be enjoyed in Akita are sourced directly from producers whose faces guests can see. A producer visit tour is also planned for July 21 and 22, with updates to be shared on official social media.
