About 1 million cosmos are in full bloom on the Flower Hill (花の丘) at Uminonakamichi Seaside National Park in Fukuoka. Sensation-type cosmos (センセーション系) in pink, red, and white cover the entire hill, a scene that has become a signature of autumn at the park. The flowers are expected to stay at their best through late October.
In one part of the Flower Hill, Yellow Campus (イエローキャンパス), a lemon-yellow autumn-blooming cosmos, is also at its peak.

Yellow Campus
The flowers look whitish when they first open and take on more yellow as temperatures rise. They are also expected to stay in peak bloom through late October.
