THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL Launches Menu Homard Bleu — The Ocean's Blue Diamond, an Autumn Teppanyaki Course Starring a Whole Blue Lobster

THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Autograph Collection (located in Kita Ward, Osaka City; General Manager: Shinji Sato) is introducing a new autumn course, Menu Homard Bleu — The Ocean's Blue Diamond, at its in-house restaurant Teppanyaki Mizuki starting September 1, 2026 (Tuesday). The course puts blue lobster front and center.

At Teppanyaki Mizuki, the hotel's signature restaurant, the immediacy of teppanyaki cooking is combined with French culinary technique and Osaka's kappo dining tradition in a distinctive full course. Seasonal ingredients carefully sourced from across Japan and around the world are prepared right in front of guests by the chef, dish by dish, for a dining experience that engages all the senses. With blue lobster, matsutake mushroom, and other seasonal ingredients at its heart, the restaurant offers flavors that can only be found here.

Menu Homard Bleu — The Ocean's Blue Diamond

A new course puts blue lobster, a rare and prized ingredient even by world standards, in the spotlight. Known for its vivid blue shell and sometimes called "the ocean's blue diamond," the lobster is prepared four different ways across the course — from a cream croquette that coats the claw meat in a smooth béchamel sauce, to a rich bisque and a gratin made by carefully drawing out flavor from the shell, each dish bringing out a different side of the ingredient.

For the main course, guests can compare two premium wagyu brands: Matsusaka beef, one of Japan's leading wagyu, and the rarer Ozaki beef, showcasing the chef's technique throughout the meal.

Blue Lobster Salad with a Citrus Accent

This appetizer pairs the firm, plump texture of blue lobster with the light texture of couscous, colorful vegetables, and herbs. A lemon vinaigrette adds a refreshing accent, opening the course on a vibrant note.

Blue Lobster Gratin with Parsley and Anchovy Crust

Half a blue lobster is grilled simply on the teppan to bring out its natural flavor, then topped with a parsley, anchovy, and lemon crust and lightly browned for a fragrant aroma and satisfying texture.

Voyage — Osaka TIME

Voyage — Osaka TIME is a year-round teppanyaki course that weaves Osaka's food culture, history, and tradition into every dish. Across all 10 courses, Chef Shunsuke Takaoka expresses the richness of Osaka's food scene, incorporating seasonal ingredients to bring out flavors specific to each time of year. This autumn, the course includes two limited-time dishes: a consommé with Omi beef and matsutake mushroom, and an Ise lobster civet with mushroom bordelaise.

Omi Beef and Matsutake Mushroom Consommé

Omi beef, briefly cooked in Japanese dashi, is paired with a consommé infused with the aroma of matsutake mushroom. The tender beef and fragrant mushroom come together for an elegant dish.

Ise Lobster Civet with Mushroom Bordelaise

Ise lobster shell is carefully simmered to draw out its flavor and aroma into a red wine "civet" sauce, paired with sautéed mushrooms. The rich sauce and the mushrooms' autumn flavor come together for a deep, layered taste.
