THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Autograph Collection's rooftop restaurant THE-MOMENT GRILL&DINING is running its summer edition of "Le Buffet Gourmand Lunch & Dinner" from June 1 to August 31, 2026. The restaurant, inspired by the concept of a luxury train dining car, serves a spread of more than 60 dishes that blend French and Japanese culinary techniques, using carefully selected ingredients from Japan and around the world.

Alongside the buffet, an order-style choice menu is available for guests on the dedicated plan — with a new meat dish and a new fish dish introduced each month. Non-alcoholic rosé sparkling wine, plum wine, and other summer-friendly drinks are also on offer, and dinner service includes a free-flow option covering red and white wine, cocktails, and sake.

The following dishes are available exclusively as part of the choice menu plan (one choice dish included). Each month features one meat option and one fish option.

June: Blanquette de Veau – Braised Veal with Seasonal Vegetables

Creamy braised veal with green garnish for a refreshing summer touch

"Blanquette" takes its name from the French word for "white" (blanc). This traditional French dish features delicately flavored veal slow-cooked in a sauce of cream and butter until tender, with seasonal vegetables adding depth to each bite.

June: Salmon en Croute with Sauce Choron

Golden-baked pastry encasing salmon with concentrated sea flavors

Salmon layered with scallop and shrimp mousse is encased in pastry and baked to a crisp, golden finish. The contrast of flaky pastry and the rich seafood filling is complemented by sauce choron — a buttery, egg-based sauce accented with tomato — alongside seasonal vegetables for a light summery finish.

July: Black Pork Farci with Sauce Charcutière

Kurobuta pork with a sharp, refined sauce

Black pork and aromatic truffle are combined and wrapped in fresh leafy vegetables before being steam-roasted. A sauce with clean acidity and a hint of mustard cuts through the pork's rich sweetness, finishing with a refreshingly light aftertaste.

July: Sea Bass and Scallop Quenelles with Sauce Américaine

Fluffy quenelles with a rich lobster-infused sauce

Smooth, fluffy quenelles made from sea bass and scallop mousse with butter are paired with a béchamel sauce layered with lobster flavor for a rich, indulgent result. The dish captures the delicate essence of the sea in a deeply satisfying combination.

August: Tajima Chicken Tourte

"Tajima no Ajidori," a premium branded chicken from Hyogo Prefecture, is prepared in the classic French tourte style — sealed in pastry to lock in the juices. The moment the crust is cut open, a rich aroma escapes. The crisp pastry and succulent meat make for an enjoyable contrast.

August: Seasonal Fish Poêlée with New Ginger Risotto

A vibrant, summer-evoking dish with crispy fish and fresh ginger risotto

Seasonal fish is seared with a crispy skin and moist interior, then served alongside risotto made with fresh young ginger. Colorful vegetables add a vivid garnish, and the pairing of the fish's refined flavor with the bright, clean aroma of ginger makes for a refreshing summer dish.

THE-MOMENT GRILL&DINING is an all-day dining restaurant on the 29th floor of THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, directly connected to Osaka Station's west exit via JP Tower Osaka. The concept draws on the atmosphere of a luxury train dining car, with an open live kitchen and a wagon service adding theatrical flair. The buffet features over 60 dishes, and the choice menu can be added to your plan for a made-to-order experience at the table.
