Art Colours Afternoon Tea – Autumn Edition at Park Hotel Tokyo

An autumn-limited afternoon tea, "Art Colours Afternoon Tea – A Small Afternoon Gallery Where Colors Tell Stories," is being served at ART colours Dining on the 25th floor of Park Hotel Tokyo in Shiodome, Minato-ku, Tokyo. The seasonal set runs from September 1 through November 30, 2026.

Imagined as a bountiful autumn harvest festival, the season-limited tea set features a range of petits fours made with vegetables such as carrot, pumpkin, spinach and edamame. The pastry team draws out the vegetables' natural sweetness, toasty depth and color, shaping them into sweets, scones and savories that let guests savor the season's bounty little by little.

A particular highlight is the Pumpkin and Apple Mini Tart. The apple is Kogyoku, an heirloom variety chosen for its rich aroma and gentle acidity. Hidden inside the smooth pumpkin cream piped over the tart is a sphere of apple mousse, bringing the mellow sweetness of pumpkin and the fresh acidity of apple into exquisite harmony.

A First Collaboration with Artist Mayako Nakamura

Park Hotel Tokyo runs under the concept of a hotel like a museum you can stay in, with an ongoing Artist in Hotel project in which artists stay at the hotel and paint an entire guest room as a work of art. With autumn vegetables taking the leading role in this season's afternoon tea, the hotel has realized its first collaboration with Mayako Nakamura — the artist behind the Artist Room "The 47 Vegetables" — bringing that same appeal to life through art. An original illustration by Nakamura now colors the afternoon tea.

Completed in June 2015 as the hotel's 17th Artist Room, "The 47 Vegetables" treats the guest room as a vessel of white porcelain, its walls painted with 47 kinds of vegetables native to Japan. For this afternoon tea, that world extends to ART colours Dining on the 25th floor, where guests can enjoy Nakamura's artwork alongside a menu that draws out the natural sweetness and color of vegetables.
