Pepper Lunch, operated by Hot Palette Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: Takashi Ikeno), will launch "Calbi Steak & Kimchi Fried Rice" and "Negishio Calbi Pepper Rice" for a limited time starting February 12, 2026 (Thursday).
During the cold season, the restaurant introduces two new calbi menu items with the desire to "let customers fully enjoy piping hot meat."
Innovative Dining Experience with Slanted Hot Plate
"Calbi Steak & Kimchi Fried Rice" offers a unique dining experience born from the pursuit of flavor, where customers complete their dish by placing wooden blocks (geta) under the hot plate.
The slanted iron plate allows the oil from the sizzling steak to flow toward the rice side, where it's mixed with soft-boiled egg, kimchi, and rice to create kimchi fried rice. Customers can mix the ingredients themselves to create steaming hot kimchi fried rice, which pairs perfectly with the calbi steak. This innovative dish allows you to enjoy the umami of the meat from start to finish.
Rich Flavors and Satisfying Texture
"Negishio Calbi Pepper Rice" features thick-cut calbi meat, combining the crispy texture of green onions with the satisfying bite of hearty meat for high satisfaction.
The garlic-flavored negishio (salt and green onion) sauce and sesame oil aroma rise with the steam from the sizzling meat, making it impossible to stop eating. The accompanying yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper) adds a refreshing spiciness, allowing you to enjoy a change of flavor.
