Perie Inage Food Zone Renewal - GOURMARENA Opens Spring 2026

Chiba Station Building Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Chiba City, President: Akio Sugimura) has begun a complete renovation of the food zone "Food Square" at "Perie Inage," a commercial facility directly connected to JR Inage Station, and will open it in spring 2026 under the new name "GOURMARENA."

Concept Image

This renewal responds to changing food trends in the Inage area, where daily shopping is already well-established, creating a new food market that combines convenience with expertise. The space will offer an environment where visitors can always discover something new and fully enjoy different ways of experiencing food. The environmental design will be refreshed to be bright and open, and 19 new stores will join, including 3 new business formats making their first appearance nationwide (flagship stores) and 1 store making its first appearance in Chiba Prefecture. These will open alongside existing popular stores, bringing the total to 38 stores in GOURMARENA. Perie aims to be a facility that enriches the Inage dining table and is chosen by customers for both everyday occasions and special days, continuing to meet customer needs.

Concept

"Inage's Exciting Food Market"

The concept is to enhance food proposals that make everyday dining scenes more wonderful and enjoyable for local residents, while providing exciting products and spaces that can't be found nearby. The goal is to create a new food market with a sense of exhilaration that makes visitors think "coming here lifts my spirits!" even when they don't have specific shopping needs.

What the Renewal Will Achieve

1. Stimulating Sensibilities Through Daily Food-Focused Sales Floors

Sweets Zone/Deli Zone

● Sweets Zone for Casual Enjoyment Responding to Various Visit Purposes

The sweets zone will raise expectations across the zone by gathering new business formats by local companies with particular attention to detail, famous stores supported by a wide range of generations, and Japanese and Western confections, bakeries, and groceries that also meet gift needs, offering stylish and comprehensive food proposals.

● Deli Zone Where You Can Enjoy Floor Liveliness and Circulation

While maintaining strongly supported popular stores, a new composite zone of side dishes, dining, and groceries will be born, offering freshly prepared items from on-site kitchens in various styles including Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic cuisine, along with eat-in spaces.

2. Providing One-Stop Shopping Convenience and Specialty Store Expertise

Marche Zone

● Stress-Free Shopping Environment with Centralized Checkout

Seven shops including the three fresh food categories (produce, meat, seafood), daily groceries, processed fresh foods, and self-style comprehensive side dishes will support centralized checkout, creating a stress-free shopping environment.

● Sales Floor Production Emphasizing Food Presence and "Sizzle"

The zone will provide food experiences only available here through stores with live kitchens where fish are filleted and meat is grilled right before customers' eyes, displays that convey the freshness and "sizzle" of ingredients, professional customer service, and abundant Chiba Prefecture products.

3. Comfortable Environmental Design from an Open Entrance That Makes You Want to Venture Deeper

Environmental Design

The entrance has been expanded with an open, spacious atmosphere, adopting an environmental design with a sense of food liveliness and unity that makes walking and looking enjoyable, like a marché or passage in a park. The space itself incorporates sensibility-stimulating touches throughout to feel "inviting for a casual visit."

Where Regular Shopping Becomes an Exciting Moment

The new name "GOURMARENA" combines Gourmet and Arena, embodying the meaning of a "stage" where live food entertainment unfolds.

The arch-shaped silhouette imagining an arena represents a "bridge of communication surrounding food."

The yellow accent on "A" conveys the message that delicious ingredients, working staff, and each customer are all "protagonists."
