A new soba restaurant is opening at the Aeon Mall Tsudanuma South in Narashino, Chiba Prefecture. Sobakichi, an authentic soba specialty restaurant, will launch its 9th location – and first in Chiba Prefecture – on the 6th floor restaurant floor on March 18, 2026.
Sobakichi's hallmark is its commitment to freshness at every step: domestic soba grains are stone-ground in-house, and the noodles are made from scratch on-site, resulting in freshly ground, freshly rolled, and freshly boiled nijuhachi (80% buckwheat) soba. The restaurant pairs its noodles with a carefully crafted dipping broth made from true kombu and domestic katsuobushi, bringing out the full aroma, texture, and smooth finish of the buckwheat.
Lunch Menu
For lunch, the restaurant offers hearty set meals that combine authentic soba or udon with a choice of rice bowls, including a prawn tempura donburi and a pork loin katsu donburi, along with pickles. Seasonal spring limited sets – running through around the end of May 2026 – are also available, featuring ingredients such as bamboo shoots and sakura shrimp.

Dinner and Drinks
At dinner, guests can enjoy Sobakichi's signature kushiten (skewered tempura, from ¥180 each) and beef offal miso stew, as well as skewered grilled items newly introduced at this location. The menu also includes a variety of small dishes that pair well with sake, and a sake tasting set where guests choose any three varieties from the menu, making it a great spot for a casual drink after work.

Space and Atmosphere
The interior features a stylish and comfortable design centered around a counter, making it easy to visit solo for a drink or a meal after work or on a day off. Table seating is also available for dining with family or friends.
