From May 7 to June 28, 2026, the Lounge at Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto) will be serving a seasonal treat called the "Melon Crepe Bouquet Parfait." The dessert showcases melon in an early-summer presentation designed to evoke both elegance and a sense of occasion.

The visual centerpiece of the parfait is a bouquet-style crepe topping: fluffy crepe batter folded around freshly scooped, juicy melon balls. The combination of soft crepe and crispy corn adds a playful contrast of textures. Completing the whimsical design is a straw hat cookie adorned with a pink ribbon, lending the dessert a nostalgic, charming look.

Inside the glass, alternating layers of melon jelly, blancmange, and melon soup form a colorful striped pattern. Cold vanilla ice cream placed on top ties all the components together, drawing out the melon's natural fragrance and adding a creamy depth.

The parfait is available in the hotel's lounge, which offers a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying the seasonal flavors at a leisurely pace.
