Four restaurants and bars at Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka Vignette Collection (Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka) are hosting a "Kakigori Fair" from July 1 (Wednesday) to September 30 (Wednesday), 2026. The fair features an eclectic range of shaved ice and frozen drinks across the hotel's directly managed venues, with offering periods varying by outlet.
From Fruit-Forward Creations to a Masterpiece-Inspired Art Kakigori
At All Day Dining Limone, a selection of kakigori returns following popular reception last summer. The lineup presents "reward sweets"-style creations that capture the essence of seasonal fruits. Combining fluffy espuma, fresh fruit flesh, and a hidden jelly layer, the menu includes 白桃アールグレイ氷 — a refined treat pairing the gentle sweetness of white peach with the lingering aroma of Earl Grey — alongside 濃厚いちごミルク氷, which balances the sweet-tart flavor of strawberry with rich condensed milk and a palate-cleansing verbena jelly.
A new addition to the lineup is the 「フェルメールブルー氷 マンゴー×杏仁豆腐」, created in collaboration with the "Vermeer: Girl with a Pearl Earring — Masterpieces of 17th-Century Dutch Painting, a Miraculous Return" exhibition at the Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art. Inspired by the famous painting's iconic blue turban, the vibrant blue hue is achieved with a special condensed milk sauce combining butterfly pea and blue curaçao. Topped with tapioca resembling pearls and glistening konpeitō sugar candies, the kakigori conceals almond tofu and mango sauce within — a visually striking summer treat tied to the world of the artwork.
At the Main Lounge, guests can enjoy 宇治金時 — classic uji kintoki shaved ice made with Uji matcha and a rich, aromatic house-made syrup sourced from long-established Kyoto purveyor 新伝兵衛 (Atarashi Denbei). The setting, with its large windows overlooking a Japanese garden, invites a leisurely experience of traditional Japanese summer.

A Summer Escape for Adults: Frozen Cocktails at Two Bars
The Cellar Bar is offering a Japanese-style frozen cocktail made with 「ROKU〈六〉NORYO TEA EDITION」, a Japanese craft gin that draws out the distinct character of sencha and gyokuro. Adorned with colorful おいり (oiri) sugar candies, the drink has the appearance of a matcha milk kakigori, with a pleasant balance of moderate sweetness, mellow richness, and a gentle bitterness.
At the Leach Bar, a frozen-style Darjeeling Cooler brings together the vibrant fragrance of tea liqueur and raspberry liqueur with a refreshing ginger accent. The cocktail delivers a bittersweet, fruity finish — an ideal accompaniment to the summer heat.
