About Cappamakiya
Cappamakiya is a new food brand inspired by linguistic connections to Cappadocia, Turkey, the world's hot air balloon mecca, created to support the continued development of the Saga International Balloon Fiesta, one of Japan's leading hot air balloon events. The brand features original kappa-maki rolls starring Saga Prefecture cucumbers, combined with Saga nori seaweed, Saga beef soboro, Yobuko squid, Shiraishi lotus root, and other famous local products from across the prefecture. A single package allows visitors to fully enjoy the rich flavors of Saga.
Additionally, the event will host a collaboration stage with popular performer "Hanagattsu." With a humorous kappa-inspired appearance, Hanagattsu engages the audience with laughter and surprises. Limited-edition merchandise featuring playful designs combining hot air balloons and kappa-maki rolls, including "Cappamakiya Original T-Shirts," "Caps," and "Stickers," will also be available. These items are recommended as Balloon Fiesta souvenirs.
