Shiba Park Hotel Unveils Autumn "Blissful Afternoon Tea" Alongside 2,000 Books

Shiba Park Hotel (operated by Shiba Park Hotel Co., Ltd.; Minato-ku, Tokyo; President Noriyoshi Tanaka), a Library Hotel built around the concept of "a Library Hotel that connects people, town, and history," is serving an autumn-only "Blissful Afternoon Tea, with Tea, Sweets, and Books" from Monday, September 7 to Sunday, November 29, 2026.

"Blissful Afternoon Tea" is an afternoon tea unique to The Dining, the hotel's restaurant, where guests can savor sweets and savories from three in-house kitchens at once: Chinese Cuisine Peking, Brasserie Primula, and Edo Cuisine Hanasanshou. This autumn, ingredients that color the harvest season have been prepared through the techniques and sensibilities of Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine. The lineup draws generously on autumn flavors such as chestnut, sweet potato, and apple, with dishes including Jasmine Tea and Apple Brûlée, Mitarashi Sweet Potato Pudding, and Chestnut Pie à la Mont Blanc offering a varied taste of the harvest season.

Approximately 2,000 books, curated by Ginza Tsutaya Books, are placed throughout the hotel — in the first-floor Library Lounge, the second-floor foyer, and the bookshelves inside The Dining. Guests can wander the hotel to find a title that catches their eye, then turn its pages while savoring the flavors of autumn at a leisurely pace, a fitting way to spend the reading season.

The world of this afternoon tea, autumn flavors enjoyed alongside reading, has also been newly illustrated by artist Mayako Nakamura. Her gentle, warm, and charming artwork can be enjoyed on the menu presented on the day.
