Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea at Tokyo Prince Hotel Puts the "Green Jewel" Grape Center Stage

From September 1 (Tue) to November 30 (Mon), 2026, Tea Salon Pikake at Tokyo Prince Hotel is serving a limited-time "Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea." Shine Muscat grapes are known for their large, elegantly sweet grains and refreshing aroma, and the hotel's pastry chef built the afternoon tea around the fragrance and light, satisfying texture of enjoying the grape skin and all.

The upper and middle tiers layer Shine Muscat's juiciness with delicate sweetness. Standouts include the "Shine Muscat Jelly and Yogurt Mousse," which wraps the grape in a light yogurt mousse and a tangy lemon jelly, and the "Shine Muscat Daifuku," which layers Shine Muscat-flavored white bean paste and mochi with fresh cream and the fruit itself — each piece offering a different way to enjoy the grape's appeal.

The third, savory tier centers on a fragrant lobster royale accented with the fresh, fruity character of Shine Muscat.

With the jewel-toned Shine Muscat as the centerpiece, guests can spend a refreshing white-and-green tea time in an open space with large windows.

Upper tier sweets

Upper Tier (Sweets)

The Shine Muscat Jelly and Yogurt Mousse wraps Shine Muscat in a light yogurt mousse and a refreshingly tart lemon jelly. The Shine Muscat Cheese Mousse hides a Shine Muscat jam inside a cheese mousse, coated in fine coconut flakes for added texture and finished with a tuile and gold leaf for an elegant touch. The Shine Muscat Vanilla Macaron sandwiches juicy Shine Muscat between rich vanilla butter cream, balancing the cream's depth with the fruit's refreshing character.

Middle tier sweets

Middle Tier (Sweets)

The Shine Muscat Tart pipes Shine Muscat cream onto a fragrant, baked crème d'amande and tops it generously with the fruit. The Shine Muscat Shortcake layers fluffy sponge with fresh cream and Shine Muscat for a refreshing shortcake. The Shine Muscat Daifuku layers Shine Muscat-flavored white bean paste and mochi, finished to look as pretty as a jewel.

Lower tier savories

Lower Tier (Savory)

The Lobster Royale concentrates the rich flavor of lobster into a fragrant royale, accented with Shine Muscat. The Beef Pastrami and Fruit Tomato Burger pairs beef pastrami tossed in a dill relish with fruit tomato for a refreshingly flavorful burger, finished with a maple-leaf-shaped brand as a playful accent. The Cream Cheese and Green Tomato Salad arranges cream cheese and green tomato to resemble a cluster of Shine Muscat grapes for a fun presentation. The Nut Menchi Katsu is a juicy cutlet baked in panko and studded with walnuts and pistachios. Two kinds of scones — plain and rum raisin, the latter rich with the aroma of rum-soaked raisins — are served on a separate plate.
