8/COURT: November 26 (Thursday) to November 29 (Sunday), 2026, 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM (until 6:30 PM on the final day)

This "super welfare" event departs from the conventional image of welfare. At the symposium, specific examples and actions related to cutting-edge school education, social education, lifelong learning and inclusive education are shared from Shibuya. Both live streaming and archive streaming are offered, so people who cannot take part in real time or cannot come to Shibuya can join anytime, from anywhere, beyond the limits of place and time.
What is "super welfare"? It refers to a society in which minorities, including people with disabilities, come to be seen with "admiration," and to the shift in mindset among people that makes this possible.
Free admission. See the website for details.

Shibuya Photo Archive Exhibition 2026 (渋谷アーカイブ写真展2026)
Dates: November 10 (Tuesday) to November 23 (Monday, national holiday), 2026, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM (until 6:00 PM on the final day)
This exhibition is an archive project that presents the changes in Shibuya and carries the record into the future. The 2026 edition continues the "streets of Shibuya" theme of the 2025 exhibition. To capture the city in a more three-dimensional way through people's own experiences, it introduces "oral history" recordings of memories related to Shibuya. With the cooperation of people connected to Shibuya, photographs newly on display include the Shibuya Station building of the late Taisho era, in addition to the photos shown in the 2025 exhibition. The exhibition also features a map plotting the streets of Shibuya and a Shibuya timeline linked to the documentary photographs, and visitors can compare the scenery of today through Google Street View.

Tidings: Marie Lepetit / Shun Kumagai
Of earthly civilization, what shall we say?
Dates: October 22 (Thursday) to November 3 (Tuesday, national holiday), 2026, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM (until 7:00 PM on the final day)

"Tidings" is a two-person exhibition of Paris painter Marie Lepetit and glass artist Shun Kumagai. Lepetit's paintings, drawn with layers of overlapping color and countless lines and dots, create a grand, cosmos-like space woven from color and geometric patterns. Kumagai's works, with a unique texture and coloring reminiscent of ancient glass, hold light and time like crystals of the memory of civilization. Like small planets drifting in a vast universe, the paintings and the glass respond to one another in the space. Their resonating works may offer a new perspective for looking again at the world we live in.

Yu Seto Exhibition CIRCULATION 2
Dates: October 23 (Friday) to November 8 (Sunday), 2026, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Sculptor Yu Seto, who is interested in the cycle of life and the workings of nature, creates works on the theme of various wild animals. Using terracotta as the material, he deliberately leaves the marks of his hands and spatulas and the texture of the clay, and the works carry a sure sense of life, the tension between predator and prey, and the stillness of death.
This is Yu Seto's first exhibition at Bunkamura Gallery in four years, with about 40 pieces, mainly new works including a new series focused on bones, on view and for sale. Following four scenes, "Existence," "Wildness," "Circulation" and "Rebirth," the whole venue expresses the cycle of life woven from death and rebirth. A live creation event by the artist is also planned during the exhibition.
Visitors can enjoy the stillness within the wild and the time that flows gently around life and death.

He has created many series, and for nearly 30 years without a break, his work has added color to the lives and spaces of many people. The exhibition presents a range of works, including the colorful "Paris Flower Shop" series, the "Red Sofa" series that led to his being called the painter of red, the modern and pop "The Shelf" series based on a refreshing white, and "Mini Frame," small oil paintings that fit in the palm of a hand.

47 People of NIPPON 2026 CULTURAL STAY (NIPPONの47人 2026 CULTURAL STAY)
The Inn Hosts Creating Cultural Hubs in All 47 Prefectures
Dates: September 18 (Friday) to November 29 (Sunday), 2026, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (last entry 7:30 PM)
Admission: Donation-based (at the venue reception). Visitors may enter freely.

The theme of d47 MUSEUM's 38th exhibition is "inns." Inns are now changing from places to stay into "places of activity" where cultural experiences, learning and exchange arise. As diverse forms of travel spread, including trips to get to know a region deeply, workations that combine work and travel, micro-tourism that rediscovers the charm of nearby areas, and regenerative tourism that leads to environmental and regional renewal, inns are emerging that serve as hubs of exchange not only for travelers but also for local people, and that play the role of cultural spots.
The exhibition introduces one "host" (aruji) from each of the 47 prefectures: inn owners, proprietresses, managers and signature staff members who work to create such places. It presents the distinctive stay experiences and initiatives that grow out of each host's feelings for the land, and the editorial skill that draws out the charm of the region, offering a look at the philosophies and perspectives of 47 hosts.
Inside the museum, a special shop introduces travel and stay-related tools and souvenirs selected by the 47 hosts. Talk events with exhibitors as guests will also explore their philosophies and perspectives on creating inns, their relationship with the region, and the role of inns as places that nurture culture, and an archive video is planned to be streamed for a limited time afterward. These related programs let visitors enjoy the exhibition more deeply.
