Shiseido Parlour Ginza Releases Limited Parfait and Desserts to Celebrate 101st Azuma Odori

Shiseido Parlour's Ginza Main Store is presenting a lineup of limited-edition menu items to mark the 101st Azuma Odori performance, held in Shinbashi every May. Running from May 12 to 31, 2026, the offerings include two dine-in items at the Salon de Café and one takeout confection at the Ginza Main Store Shop, each evoking the world of Shinbashi geisha through Japanese-modern presentation.

The Azuma Odori has been held since 1925 and remains one of the few traditional geisha dance performances still active today, carrying on the "iki" spirit — an aesthetic sensibility rooted in Shinbashi geisha culture. According to lore from the time of Shiseido Parlour's founding, Shinbashi geisha would stop in for a soda water after shamisen practice before heading to their evening engagements. That history quietly informs the spirit of this annual menu.

Shinbashi-iro Ice Cream Soda — ¥1,300

"Shinbashi-iro" (Shinbashi color) refers to a blue-green hue popularized by Shinbashi geisha during the late Meiji era, when their fondness for this shade in kimono spread into mainstream fashion. The soda captures that color with green apple–flavored syrup, lemon, and ginger ale, topped with a classic vanilla ice cream float. Available at the Salon de Café from May 12 (Tuesday) to 31 (Sunday).
