Starbucks Reserve® Cafe Adds Coffee & Espresso Cream Frappuccino® as a Night-Time Dolce Coffee From October 9

Starbucks Reserve® Cafe, a cafe bakery serving espresso-based beverages and cornetti from the Italian bakery Princi®, will begin selling the Starbucks Reserve® Coffee & Espresso Cream Frappuccino® on Friday, October 9, 2026.

As autumn deepens and the nights grow longer, the cafe suggests a way to spend the long evenings away from your smartphone, whether opening a book or spending time with yourself. Inspired by Italian dolce culture, the theme is the way Milanese (people of Milan) enjoy dolce and coffee at a night bar. Alongside the new Frappuccino®, the cafe offers its signature dolce coffees for the season.

A Night-Time Dolce Coffee Pairing Sweetness With Bitterness

In Italy, dolce is more than a sweet dessert. It is cherished as something that connects people and enriches time spent together. Drawing on the Italian cafe culture of enjoying dolce with coffee, Starbucks Reserve® Cafe invites you to relax with a dolce coffee in hand, chatting slowly with friends or family as the Milanese do at a night bar.

The Starbucks Reserve® Coffee & Espresso Cream Frappuccino® uses espresso whip at both the bottom and top of the cup, layering sweetness with the bitterness of coffee. It starts with a creamy sweetness, and as you keep drinking, the toasty aroma and deep richness of the espresso come through.

It is meant to feel as satisfying as savoring a dolce, whether you chat with someone close to you or settle into some time to yourself, with a relaxing evening to match your mood.

Three Night-Time Dolce Coffees to Choose From

The Starbucks Reserve® Espresso Affogato Frappuccino® and the Starbucks Reserve® Opera Frappuccino® have been popular since the cafe opened. The new Starbucks Reserve® Coffee & Espresso Cream Frappuccino® joins them in the lineup.

  • Espresso Affogato: Vanilla ice cream paired with deeply rich espresso
  • Opera: A satisfying combination of chocolate and coffee
  • Coffee & Espresso Cream: Refined sweetness layered with a bittersweet finish

Each has its own appeal, so you can pick one to match your mood and the time you want to spend.

Customize at the Coffee Discovery Counter

At the Coffee Discovery Counter inside the cafe, you can also customize your drink with condiments of your choice. For the Starbucks Reserve® Coffee & Espresso Cream Frappuccino®, the recommended condiments are:

  • Cacao nibs: Add a toasty cacao aroma and texture, and give the bitterness of the coffee more depth
  • Pink pepper: Spreads a bright aroma and adds a lingering accent

A single sprinkle lets you discover a new side of the coffee and make a dolce coffee that is yours alone.

About Starbucks Reserve® Cafe

Starbucks Reserve® Cafe opened in September 2025 as a cafe bakery that expands the fun of coffee with a variety of espresso-based beverages and Italian croissants called cornetti. Its experience concept is a slightly upscale treat for adults in everyday life. The store design concept is "Milanese Kissaten," creating a modern yet comfortable space.

Since opening, many customers have enjoyed sprinkling a condiment of their choice, such as cinnamon, over a Classic Double Tall Latte and dipping a cornetto into it.

Princi® Cornetti, Italian Croissants

The cafe serves cornetti, Italian croissants that are a staple of Princi® and have been popular since the cafe opened. They follow the methods of Milan, with a crisp surface and an airy, fluffy inside, finished so that even the sound adds to the enjoyment. Because the dough is made carefully, the texture lasts, so they can be enjoyed without rebaking even when taken home. They are also recommended as a small gift.
