Tokyo's Toneri Park will host the "Flowers & Light Movement: Toneri Park Nemophila and Hundred Flowers" from April 10 (Friday) to April 26 (Sunday), 2026. Now in its fourth year at this location, the event is part of an ongoing Tokyo Metropolitan project that brings seasonal flower and light displays to parks across the city throughout the year.
Event Overview
The 2026 edition focuses on the color blue — the signature shade of nemophila — tracing a "color story" that moves from the vibrant hues of colorful spring blooms through to the deep blue of the nemophila field. Flowers, illuminations, and sound are woven together to bring the concept to life.

Highlights
① "Beginning of a Hundred Flowers" and "Blue Finale" (Around the Fountain)

At the park entrance near the fountain, flower beds combining nemophila with marguerites, ranunculus, and other spring blooms welcome visitors. A "TONERI" letter sign styled with neon lighting and mirror panels provides a ready-made photo opportunity.
The metasequoia grove will glow in three vibrant colors during the first half of the event (April 10–19, titled "Beginning of a Hundred Flowers") and then shift to an all-blue glow — the "Blue Finale" — during the second half (April 20–26).
Note: The fountain will not be in operation during the event.
② Flowers and Butterflies of Light (Fountain Square)

Flower and butterfly sculptures are installed in the fountain square. During the day the white sculptures have a soft, gentle appearance; at night they come alive with a roughly five-minute light show that repeats throughout the evening. Lights pulse and dance in time with music, while their reflections shimmer on the water and the butterfly shapes seem to float through the air.
Note: The fountain will not be in operation during the event.
③ Pathway of Flowers and Light (Approach)

Colorful spring flower beds line the garden path leading to the nemophila flower beds. At night, the path transforms into a corridor of randomly color-changing circular lights and flower-shaped light sculptures — a lesser-known photo spot that makes the journey to the main display worthwhile on its own.
④ Spring Layer Garden (Lawn Area)

The sweeping nemophila flower beds merge seamlessly with the open sky: a blue carpet swaying in the breeze by day, and a glowing blue garden lit with translucent illumination by night. Alongside the nemophila, a new hexagonal flower bed features colorful spring flowers such as marguerites and ranunculus, creating a vivid contrast of colors.
⑤ Nemophila Sky Stage (Lawn Area)

A raised transparent-floor photo spot is installed directly above the nemophila flower beds. Standing on the clear surface, the blue expanse of nemophila beneath your feet merges with the sky above, creating the sensation of floating within the landscape.
⑥ Touch-Activated Photo Spot (Lawn Area)

A dome pergola-shaped photo spot allows visitors to pose in front of colorful spring flowers and the nemophila backdrop. At night, pressing a button on a nearby box triggers a light display. The randomly shifting patterns are highly photogenic for both still images and video.
Food and Drinks

Food trucks will operate throughout the event period. The park shop "Parks Yuhi-no-Oka" will also offer a limited-edition "Nemophila Soft Serve" during the event.
