Spring-Limited Sakura Menus at Cafe SKY 40, Umeda Sky Building's Sky Garden Observatory

Cafe SKY 40, located on the 40th floor of the Sky Garden Observatory at Umeda Sky Building, is serving a collection of spring-limited menus inspired by cherry blossoms for a limited time.

The cafe's glass counter seating — spanning approximately 35 meters along the windows — offers a sensation of floating in the sky, making it the perfect spot to enjoy seasonal flavors alongside sweeping views of the city.

Spring-Limited Menu Items

  • Sakura Latte — ¥700 (left in photo)

A softly tinted pink drink that sets the mood for spring the moment it arrives. Topped with cherry blossom whipped cream and real sakura petals, this latte is as visually delightful as it is enjoyable to drink.

  • Sakura Matcha Parfait — ¥1,500 (right in photo)

A generous parfait featuring sakura warabi mochi, tri-color dango, and a sakura-shaped monaka wafer on top of soft serve ice cream. The variety of textures and the picture-perfect presentation make it a standout spring treat — more filling than it looks, too.

Both items are available in limited quantities and will sell out once stock is gone.

Sakura Bourbon specialty coffee and spring menu items

Specialty Coffee: Sakura Bourbon

Sakura Bourbon — ¥650 per cup (HOT/ICED)

A seasonal specialty coffee that returns each spring, the Sakura Bourbon is made from carefully selected beans grown at the UTZ-certified Santa Luzia farm. Fully ripened Bourbon variety beans are hand-picked and sealed fresh before delivery. The result is a bright, citrusy coffee with a pronounced sweetness and a well-balanced aroma that evokes the freshness of cherry blossoms.

The beans are roasted in-house using the cafe's on-site roaster. Take-home packages of roasted beans are also available — a thoughtful spring gift option.

Spring-Limited Round Window Decoration

Spring-limited round window with cherry blossom decoration

One of the observatory's most beloved photo spots — the round window — has been dressed in cherry blossom decorations for spring. Framed by soft pink floral arrangements, the window frames a view of the city 173 meters below, creating a special backdrop that's exclusive to this time of year.

The spring decoration is planned to remain through Thursday, April 30, 2026.
