Kyoto-based textile brand SOU・SOU (Representative Director: Takeshi Wakabayashi) is holding a Silver Week viewing event at WAKISAKA KATSUJI / SOU・SOU MUSEUM for five days, from Saturday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
The museum houses roughly 60 years of work by textile designer Katsuji Wakisaka (81). The viewing is reservation-only, held in two sessions each day with 25 visitors per session, and visitors will receive a hanging ornament shaped after the museum's gate as a gift.

About Katsuji Wakisaka
Born in Kyoto in 1944, Katsuji Wakisaka became a textile designer for the Finnish apparel company Marimekko in 1968. He later worked at Jack Larsen and Wacoal before joining SOU・SOU as a textile designer in 2002. Based in Kyoto, he continues to create textile designs for SOU・SOU today.
About the Museum
WAKISAKA KATSUJI / SOU・SOU MUSEUM houses the works of SOU・SOU textile designer Katsuji Wakisaka, exhibiting pieces from his Marimekko years starting in 1968 through to his work today. Opening dates are irregular.
