Water lilies are in peak bloom at Otani Weeping Cherry Park (大谷しだれ桜公園) in Kiyomi-cho, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, bringing a cool, refreshing presence to the pond's surface.
The park is well known for its weeping cherry tree, which has been designated as a Gifu Prefectural Natural Monument. In the approximately 150-square-meter pond, around 200 plants of white and pink water lilies are in flower, delighting visitors who come to take in the scenery.

Since water lilies tend to close their petals in the afternoon, morning visits are recommended for the best viewing experience. The blooms are expected to continue through early July.
