YOKOHAMA SAKE SQUARE 2026, a sake tasting event combining local sake with DJ performances, is set to take place at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza on July 4 (Saturday) and 5 (Sunday), 2026, with a special preview event on July 3 (Friday). Organized by FM Yokohama and ZIP-FM, the event brings together about 20 breweries and more than 50 sake labels — largely sourced from Kanagawa's waters fed by the Tanzawa mountain range — along with breweries from Tokyo, Chiba, Yamanashi, and Saitama.
About YOKOHAMA SAKE SQUARE
The concept behind the event is "local sake meets music (DJ PLAY)." The historic Red Brick Warehouse serves as a meeting point between sake producers and drinkers, where visitors can trace both the history of Japanese sake and its future. The event features three main elements:
- Diverse sake and food — Around 10 Kanagawa breweries anchor the lineup, with selected sake available at paid tasting booths. Food stalls offering snacks that pair well with sake will also be on-site.
- Live music — DJs led by FM Yokohama's on-air personalities will perform at an "izakaya DJ stage," animating the venue throughout the day.
- Souvenir sales — Some labels available for tasting can also be purchased to take home.
