Yokohama Konjaku Shashin (Representative: Shoyo Shimada), which shares Yokohama's past and present through photography, is holding an exhibition and walking event called "Yokohama Walking Expo" on Saturday, February 28, 2026 (Reiwa 8), from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Kosha33 and LOCAL BOOK STORE kita. on Yokohama Nihon-odori.
Since its opening in 1859 (Ansei 6), the international port city of Yokohama has developed rapidly. After 160 years, the city contains numerous charms unique to Yokohama that have emerged like drops falling from history. This event brings together young groups based in Yokohama who discover local charm and conduct walking activities. Beyond the well-known famous spots, they offer new perspectives that make the streets you casually pass by feel special, delivering fresh ways to enjoy Yokohama walks.
Exhibition Booths: A World of Yokohama You Haven't Known Yet, Starting from Nihon-odori
At the entrance to the exhibition booths, there will be a collaborative display introducing the "highlights" of Nihon-odori, where the venue is located, as seen by each of the five participating groups. After experiencing each group's unique "perspective" on walking, visitors can explore the individual exhibition booths set up by each group. The participating groups and exhibition overview are as follows.
① Yokohama Konjaku Shashin "Yokohama Konjaku Photo Exhibition - Yokohama Sightseeing Photo Album"

Yokohama's past and present, at the exact same location. A group that introduces "then-and-now photos" comparing Yokohama's old photos with current scenery to explore the city's history and charm.
To celebrate the release of the ZINE "Yokohama Sightseeing Photo Album," modeled after Meiji, Taisho, and Showa era tourism publications, they will display then-and-now photos based on the walking routes featured in the book. The historical photos on display will be period originals from each era.
