Phoenix Seagaia Resort Hosts Banfi Maker's Dinner at Teppanyaki "Fukami" on October 15

Teppanyaki restaurant "Fukami," located on the first floor of Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower — the flagship hotel of Phoenix Seagaia Resort (Phoenix Resort Co., Ltd., Miyazaki City) — will host a maker's dinner titled "Mariage Night" on October 15, 2026 (Thursday), featuring wines from Italy's renowned Banfi winery.

This marks the second installment of "Mariage Night," a dinner series built around pairings of wine and cuisine selected by the hotel's sommeliers. This time, wines from Banfi — one of Italy's most celebrated wineries, with a strong international reputation — meet the cooking of Fukami for a one-night-only special dinner.

Paolo Fassina, Banfi's North Asia Area Manager, will attend the event to share the winery's commitment to winemaking, the appeal of the brand, and the depth of its acclaimed wines.

Wine selection is handled by Haruna Yokoyama, Vice Chapter Head of the Miyazaki chapter of the Japan Sommelier Association, and Tomoya Kitamura, manager and sommelier at Fukami. From Banfi's extensive range, the two will curate a lineup chosen specifically to pair with the evening's cuisine.

Fukami's head chef, Yasuhiro Hachiya, who also holds a sommelier qualification, has created a special teppanyaki dinner course designed to bring out the character of each wine, offering guests a new pairing with every dish.
