Bikkuri Donkey, the hamburger steak restaurant chain operated by Aleph Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Sapporo, Hokkaido), is launching four limited-time "Matcha Desserts" from Wednesday, April 22. The lineup pairs Hokkaido soft-serve ice cream with the refined bitterness of matcha, celebrating the fresh greenery of early summer. Some items have been renewed this year for an even more pronounced Japanese-inspired flavor experience.
Matcha Parfait
A Japanese-style parfait featuring Hokkaido soft-serve ice cream and matcha cream, topped with warabimochi, sweet red beans, and a jiggly matcha jelly. The dessert offers a range of textures alongside a delicate matcha aroma. This year, a matcha baked confection has been added as a new topping, and both the warabimochi and sweet red beans have been increased compared to last year.
Matcha Sundae
A smaller, lightly sweetened treat pairing mildly bitter matcha with the gentle sweetness of Hokkaido soft-serve. It makes for a satisfying post-meal option that won't feel too heavy.
Matcha Ice Cream Matcha Chiffon Plate
A refined cake dessert featuring a light, moist chiffon cake topped with whipped cream and matcha sauce, served alongside matcha ice cream and warabimochi. A set pairing this dessert with Bikkuri Donkey's coffee is also available.
Jockey Parfait (Matcha)
A generously sized parfait served in a large jockey-style vessel. In addition to all the toppings from the Matcha Parfait, it also includes matcha ice cream and chiffon cake for an even more substantial experience. This year, the baked confection topping has been upgraded to a matcha flavor, and both the warabimochi and sweet red beans have been increased. It's large enough to share with family or friends.
