BIRD HOTEL, a garden hotel in Kamakura's Yuigahama, is introducing an autumn lineup at its restaurant THE TABLE. A matcha parfait will be available from Tuesday, September 15, through Monday, November 30, 2026, and an autumn afternoon tea from Friday, October 16, through Monday, November 30, 2026. Surrounded by a lush garden, THE TABLE has built its dining experience around Japan's changing seasons. This autumn, the menu includes a matcha parfait that plays with the deep flavor of matcha and the freshness of green tea across a range of textures, and an afternoon tea that pairs warm and chilled elements to bring out the season's flavors. Guests dining with their dogs on the terrace can also order a new dog-friendly pizza made to look like the real thing.
The hotel invites guests to take a break in its unhurried garden during an autumn stroll through Kamakura.
Uji Matcha Parfait

A parfait built from rich matcha and green tea, with flavor and texture shifting from spoonful to spoonful. Layers include a rich Uji matcha ice cream, a light matcha chantilly cream, green tea granita, matcha crumble, and caramelized walnuts for a range of textures. Yanbaru brown sugar mascarpone cream, adzuki beans, and chopped yuzu are added to bring out matcha's gentle bitterness while adding depth of flavor. The parfait finishes with a smooth jelly, leaving a refreshing aftertaste with the flavor of matcha lingering.

The spread also includes a rich Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc, a roll cake with a whole chestnut inside, and a pear and caramel cream choux, expressing the flavors of autumn in different forms.
