Hilton Hiroshima is running a sweets buffet themed around the popular Sanrio character Pompompurin at the 6th floor all-day dining restaurant "Mozaik" from Saturday, June 6 to Sunday, September 6, 2026. This year marks Pompompurin's 30th anniversary, and the character also claimed 1st place in the "2025 Sanrio Character Awards." The buffet theme, "Lazy Summer Beach Day with POMPOMPURIN," depicts Pompompurin — who is known for loving naps — taking it easy at a summer beach, with story-driven menus and a fully themed atmosphere.
The event features more than 25 types of sweets, savories, and original drinks, all created by Hilton Hiroshima's pastry team. The lineup pays tribute to Pompompurin's beloved pudding made by Mom, while also showcasing treats inspired by "Team Purin" friends such as "Mint" and "Scone." At the live station, a nostalgic pudding is cut and served table-side; there is also a pudding-colored drink topped with a Pompompurin marshmallow. A photogenic corner is set up at the restaurant entrance so guests can feel as though they have stepped right into Pompompurin's world. Every guest who uses the buffet receives a commemorative original sticker.
Sweets Lineup (20 items)
The highlight is a pudding-flavored shortcake depicting Pompompurin floating at sea. Other standouts include a light soufflé cheesecake with Pompompurin stuck in a swim ring, a mousse cake with refreshing acidity evoking a surfing scene, dark chocolate ganache macarons, and a glass dessert inspired by Pompompurin's father.
"Lazy Purin's Custard Short": A shortcake finished with caramel-scented custard cream for a rich pudding flavor.
"Clumsy Purin's Fluffy Swim Ring": A light-textured soufflé cheesecake decorated with whipped cream styled as a swim ring.
"Surfing Purin's Big Wave": A summery cake layered with almond sponge, passion fruit and milk chocolate mousse, and raspberry gelée.
"Purin's Favorite ♡ Mom's Special Pudding": A nostalgic pudding cut table-side and served with caramel sauce and fresh cream.
