Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima's 1st-floor restaurant Dining Luore (Motomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City) is introducing two shaved ice flavors for a limited time this summer: Fluffy Snow Shaved Ice - Chunky Mango and Hiroshima Lemon, and Fluffy Snow Shaved Ice - Uji Matcha Kintoki. Both are available from July 7 (Tuesday) to September 30 (Wednesday), 2026, served during the 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM cafe-time slot.
Dining Luore offers a lunch and dinner buffet featuring live-kitchen dishes, seasonal menus, and roughly 15 kinds of sweets, along with an a la carte menu available from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM as an all-day dining venue for everything from meals to cafe visits. The two new shaved ice desserts join the lineup as a cafe-time-only offering, each developed by chef Masuhara through repeated testing to find the right balance of ingredients and flavor.
Fluffy Snow Shaved Ice - Chunky Mango and Hiroshima Lemon is topped generously with Hiroshima lemon preserved in syrup and diced mango, finished with a light Hiroshima lemon espuma. Two kinds of syrup are used, one that draws out the tartness of Hiroshima lemon and another with a mellow sweetness, and a housemade mango sauce ties the two together so the lemon's bright flavor and the mango's rich sweetness balance each other. It is topped with a macaron sandwiching candied Hiroshima lemon and lemon jam, letting guests enjoy the lemon's gentle bitterness and tartness alongside the mango's natural sweetness.
Fluffy Snow Shaved Ice - Uji Matcha Kintoki offers an adult-leaning flavor built around the rich aroma and refined bitterness of Uji matcha. It combines a springy matcha jelly, syrup-preserved shiratama dumplings, and Tokachi red beans, topped with a condensed milk espuma that wraps the matcha's deep flavor in a creamy finish. Gold leaf and matcha powder add an elegant shine, and a matcha syrup served on the side can be poured over to taste for an even richer matcha flavor.
Guests can take a break from the summer heat with two shaved ice options built around the character of their ingredients.
