The Yanesen area (Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi) is a district that retains the strong atmosphere of traditional Japanese downtown culture despite being located in Tokyo. Walking through maze-like alleys, visitors can discover charming small shops scattered throughout, including unique used bookstores, nostalgic retro cafes, and general stores filled with the owners' personal touches. More than 10 bookstores alone are concentrated within this area.
Visitors can enjoy enriching moments while feeling the uniquely relaxed flow of time that this district offers.
Standing in a quiet residential area of this Yanesen district is the hostel hotel "HOTEL GRAPHY Nezu." Since opening in March 2013, the hotel has operated under the concept "Meet Local. The hotel has partnered with 5 bookstores in the Yanesen area to create this autumn-limited accommodation plan where guests can fully enjoy reading in Yanesen's relaxed atmosphere. The plan provides 5 randomly selected books in guest rooms from titles curated by partner bookstores.
All book selections are made by bookstore owners in Yanesen. Shop owners are asked to select books freely, allowing each store's characteristics to shine through their choices. Guests can experience the joy of unexpected discoveries during their travels through encountering books they might not normally pick up and connecting with the thoughts of the shop owners who selected them.

All participating bookstores are within walking or cycling distance from the hotel. If guests find books they enjoy, they are encouraged to visit the bookstore that selected them.
Beyond discovering new books, the plan also features a notebook in guest rooms where visitors can share their reading impressions. Guests can read reviews from others who stayed on the same plan and write their own thoughts, creating gentle connections through books - another attractive feature of this plan.
The hotel maintains a casual, free atmosphere similar to international hostels. Guests can enjoy reading leisurely in the lounge or terrace areas.
Books placed in rooms can be taken outside the hotel during the stay. While guests can certainly enjoy reading at the hotel, they can also load books onto complimentary rental bicycles and venture into Yanesen for outdoor reading - another way to enjoy this plan.

While the plan introduced above is an experience available to hotel guests, we have prepared a "book selection shelf" so that users of the hotel's attached cafe can also enjoy books selected by Yanesen bookstores.
On this "book selection shelf," bookstore owners uniquely interpret "travel" to select books. For example, one used bookstore owner interprets travel as the flow of seasons or as contemplating unfamiliar lands when making selections. A diverse array of books is displayed.
The cafe welcomes many international customers, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Forget the passage of time while enjoying reading with coffee in hand, feeling like you're traveling abroad.
The attached cafe serves vegan-friendly burgers and sweets that don't use animal products, considering the many international guests. The cafe also offers carefully selected coffee beans from "SOL'S COFFEE" which provides house-roasted coffee, serving hand-drip coffee extracted carefully one cup at a time, along with various other beverages.
