Hotel Kanazawa Launches Accommodation Plan "Koga" Featuring Traditional Japanese Sweets and Matcha Experience

Hotel Kanazawa Introduces Accommodation Plan "Koga" for Enjoying Traditional Japanese Sweets and Matcha

Hotel Kanazawa, which provides cuisine focused on seasonal ingredients throughout the four seasons, has begun accepting reservations for the accommodation plan "Koga" on September 1, 2025 (Monday), offering guests the opportunity to experience Kanazawa's tea ceremony culture with all five senses. At the hotel's first-floor restaurant "DINING TSUZUMI," guests can enjoy authentic matcha tea prepared by staff right before their eyes, paired with traditional Japanese sweets crafted by "Shibafune Koide," a long-established confectionery in Kanazawa.

Special Moments in Kanazawa, a City Where Tea Ceremony Culture Lives

Kanazawa, which flourished as the castle town of the Kaga Domain with one million koku of rice, has been home to a tea ceremony culture that has continued uninterrupted since the Edo period. Hotel Kanazawa has prepared the accommodation plan "Koga," which allows guests to experience matcha and Japanese sweets, so that visitors can feel this rich culture and the spirit of hospitality.

The matcha is carefully prepared by staff on the spot and served to guests. For those who wish, guests can also experience whisking matcha themselves using a tea whisk. Please enjoy a peaceful moment while savoring the harmony between the matcha and Kanazawa's unique Japanese sweets.

The plan features "No" from the "Sannyasou" series, a Japanese sweet crafted by Shibafune Koide. This elegant and delicate masterpiece layers steamed castella cake with matcha soboro sweet bean paste in two layers. The Japanese sweet, finished by skilled artisans through careful handwork, has a gentle sweetness and smooth texture that enhances the aroma and flavor of matcha, adding the perfect atmosphere for autumn in Kanazawa.

Surrounded by the autumn atmosphere of Kanazawa's cityscape, guests can enjoy special moments immersed in the quiet ritual of whisking matcha, the beauty of Kanazawa's Japanese sweets, and the rich taste of fragrant matcha.
