Hotel New Grand's "Mocarulo" Wins Yokohama Mayor's Award at YOKOHAMA GOODS 001

The S.Weil by HOTEL NEW GRAND shop in Yokohama has received the Yokohama Mayor's Award (food category) at the 21st YOKOHAMA GOODS 001 certification review. Its signature item, "Mocarulo," was selected from among 169 products as one of the most outstanding entries.

YOKOHAMA GOODS 001 is a local souvenir brand that has been recognizing quality, Yokohama-style products since the 1989 Yokohama Exposition, with a certification review held every two years. Judges evaluate products through tasting and sampling, scoring them on criteria including price and how well each product embodies Yokohama's character.

Mocarulo — ¥3,456 (tax included)

Mocarulo is a roll cake featuring mocha cream made with the S.Weil brand's original coffee blend, rolled into a soft, moist dough. Both the dough and cream use the same signature coffee, producing a fragrant, layered flavor in every slice. It comes in an elegant gift box, making it a well-suited choice for souvenirs or presents.

The Coffee (Beans) — 200g / ¥1,620 (tax included)

The original S.Weil coffee used in Mocarulo is also available as whole beans. The blend uses washed Ethiopian beans as a base, combined with Colombian and other varieties, and is roasted to a full-city level for a deep, aromatic cup. Enjoying the beans alongside Mocarulo is recommended.
