About Hotel New Grand

Hotel New Grand opened in 1927 (Showa 2) as a symbol of Yokohama's reconstruction after the Great Kanto Earthquake, establishing itself as a European-style orthodox hotel. This renowned classic hotel has been loved by many distinguished guests, including General MacArthur, Charlie Chaplin, and Babe Ruth. The hotel welcomes guests with orthodox hospitality rooted in history and tradition.

The Main Building, which retains its original appearance from the opening, was designated as a Yokohama Historical Building in 1992 and recognized as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2007.
