Hyatt Centric Sapporo Opens Reservations for Stays From December 1, Ahead of Its Autumn Debut

Hyatt Centric Sapporo (Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido; General Manager: Yuki Takimura) has opened reservations for stays from December 1, 2026 onward. The hotel itself is scheduled to open in autumn 2026, with further details to be announced once finalized.

Design Concept: "The Explorer's Residence"

A modern boutique hotel with the warmth of the northern land

Throughout the hotel, motifs of horse tack, stacked firewood, and straw art, along with a modern installation of reclaimed wood running through the property and a lounge centered on a symbolic hearth, evoke the history and stories of this land at every turn.

Wrapped around the entire hotel is the sense of warmth particular to a cold-climate region, recreating memories of everyday life in Japan's north. Comfortable furniture, fabrics pleasant to the touch, carpets reminiscent of loosely knit yarn, and the contrast with the changing seasonal scenery beyond the windows combine to create a warmth unique to this place.

The hotel occupies a highly convenient location on the 1st floor and 17th through 26th floors of Urbannet Sapporo Link Tower, about a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station (directly connected via underground walkway), and close to the former Hokkaido Government Office (the Akarenga building) and Odori Park. Guest rooms across all 216 rooms (including 9 suites) offer open, sweeping views over the streets of Sapporo.

Serving as a base for exploring the city, Hyatt Centric Sapporo has staff well versed in Sapporo act as "local insiders," guiding guests to the city's seasonal charms and to ways of enjoying the city that are not yet widely known.

Through partnerships with local communities and artists, the hotel also shares the many charms of Sapporo's food, culture, and art. Conversations with others and relaxed moments spent in a comfortable space become an invitation to further discovery, offering a stay in Sapporo that satisfies each guest's curiosity.

Guest Rooms (19th to 26th Floors)

The 216 guest rooms, located on the 19th through 26th floors, all offer a generous 36 square meters or more of space. Featuring panoramic windows, the rooms include two types of view rooms overlooking the Akarenga building or the distant mountains, along with a variety of other room types. Rooms are equipped with smart technology such as digital keys, smart TVs, and free Wi-Fi access, as well as bathrooms with a bathtub and rain shower and a Nespresso machine, for a comfortable stay.

Among the 9 suite rooms, the 19th-floor "Centric Suite," which comes with a terrace, and the "Sapporo Suite" on the top (26th) floor, which offers a sweeping view of the Akarenga building, combine refined design with comfortable spaces for a relaxing stay.

Restaurant, Lounge, and Bar (1st and 17th Floors)

The hotel lobby on the 17th floor, offering panoramic views of Sapporo's cityscape that change with the seasons and time of day, features an open kitchen. It houses the main dining restaurant "Matsu Grill & Bar," serving grilled dishes cooked over firewood for added aroma, a bar with an interior generously using horse-tack motifs, straw art, and wood, and a lounge where the flames of a hearth add warmth to a space with a soaring ceiling. Amid an open atmosphere overlooking the streets of Sapporo, the hotel offers moments that fit a range of occasions, from meals to café time to bar time.

Experiences inspired by Hokkaido's rich nature and food culture, along with unmatched views and comfortable hospitality, come together to create a place guests can use for both special occasions and everyday moments.

On the 1st floor, "Mr. Fish by Hyatt Centric Sapporo" serves fish and chips, offering authentic fish and chips made with fresh fish and Hokkaido-grown potatoes, paired with craft beer.

Fitness Center (19th Floor)

The fitness center, equipped with the latest training machines, core fit balls, yoga mats, and more, is available 24 hours a day. The space design, which places skis along the ceiling, pays tribute to the region's leading snow sports culture.
