From December 16 (Wednesday) to December 25 (Friday), 2026, The Lobby Lounge at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo will serve a "Christmas Afternoon Tea Set" for a limited time. The hotel sets a theme for each season and offers afternoon tea sets prepared by its chefs and pastry chefs. This time the theme is Christmas.
The three-tier tea tray combines sweets modeled on Christmas trees and ornaments with savories made with premium ingredients such as foie gras and veal. The set is served as a course: a welcome drink, the three-tier tea stand, a glass dessert, and a meat dish as the main.
The glass dessert, the "Snow Dome Parfait," layers the flavors of black tea and caramel over the tartness of fruit. Styled after Santa Claus and a snowy field, it is served with a dry ice smoke presentation. The main dish is a steak of Hokkaido-produced Japanese Black beef.
