Beat the Rainy Season Blues with Matsuzakaya Shizuoka's "Refreshing Healthy Gourmet" Fair

Matsuzakaya Shizuoka is running a special "Refreshing Healthy Gourmet" fair from Wednesday, June 17 to Tuesday, June 30. The event brings together a carefully curated selection of light, easy-to-eat foods and sweets designed for the muggy rainy season.

The Japan Meteorological Agency announced on Sunday, June 7, that the Tokai region, including Shizuoka Prefecture, had entered the rainy season. The rainy season is expected to lift around Sunday, July 19, meaning roughly a month of high humidity and limited sunshine lies ahead. During this time, many people find their appetite waning or their physical condition becoming unsteady.

With that in mind, Matsuzakaya Shizuoka has assembled a lineup of refreshing, easy-to-enjoy foods that are both flavorful and approachable during the rainy season.
