From Wednesday, September 16 to Friday, September 25, Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel (Nakamura-ku, Nagoya; General Manager: Atsushi Sugimoto) is selling mooncakes, the traditional confectionery enjoyed during the Mid-Autumn Festival, at its 15th-floor gift shop Crochet. The mooncakes are finished by the dim sum chef of the hotel's Chinese restaurant Linka, offering an authentic taste.

Mooncakes are a traditional confectionery enjoyed across the Chinese-speaking world during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Their round shape symbolizes the full moon and a harmonious family, and during this season—when the moon is said to be at its most beautiful—they are traditionally enjoyed with family and loved ones while moon-viewing. This version uses a salted duck egg yolk to represent the full moon, capturing the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
A Rich, Authentic Flavor From Salted Egg, Lotus Seed Paste, and Walnut
The mellow saltiness and richness of the fluffy salted egg balance with the gentle sweetness of the lotus seed paste, creating a deep, layered flavor. Walnuts add texture, rounding out an authentically made mooncake.
